Job Description
- The Radiology Technician performs radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist providers in the diagnosis of injuries and disease
- Greet each patient, verify identity at each encounter, explain procedures to be performed, and address patient questions and concerns in a kind and caring manner
- Prepare and position the patient for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
- Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with approved radiology techniques and all company policies and procedures

SportsMED is seeking Patient Access Representative for our Physical Therapy location in Harvest, AL. In this position you will be working face-to-face with patients as they enter our location. You will assist with checking patients in and out of the clinic and verifying their insurance.

SportsMED is seeking a uniquely qualified individual for the position of Appointment Scheduler to work in an extremely high volume (500 plus calls per day - 20,000 per month) Phone Room/Appointment Desk. This is a fast-paced, detail oriented, full-time position.

Description
The patient scheduler will be responsible for answering all incoming calls that come through SportsMED. This will include patient calls, routing calls to clinical teams/physicians, and taking calls from outside referring offices. The patient scheduler will work in our Electronic Medical Records system to schedule patients for our 45 providers and various specialties based on the scheduling guidelines and physician protocols. Hours for this role are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
Position Requirements
Education: High School Graduate or GED
Experience: At least a year of call center experience
Skills and abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology, ability to type 30-40 words per minute, computer literate, outstanding customer service attitude, experience with electronic medical records (EMR), and ability to communicate with all types of people.
Rate of pay: $13-17/hr

SportsMED is currently seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team in Huntsville, AL. In this role you will screen patients before the MRI examination for any precautions and contraindications, prepare patients for the exam and explain the exam procedure, ensure scan(s) meet the minimum requirements for accuracy and readability to help physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient’s injuries and illnesses, and maintain accurate records in our medical software system.

SportsMED is seeking an experienced mid-level provider (CRNP or PA-C) to work with one of our Orthopedic Surgeons, Dr. Jonathan Yu. Dr. Yu specializes in the hand and upper extremities at all SportsMED locations: Huntsville, Madison, and Decatur. This is a full-time position. The selected candidate will work alongside Dr. Yu in the clinic and in surgery.

Job Description
As a mid-level provider working alongside Dr. Jonathan Yu, you will be assisting with patient examination and assisting in surgery.
Position Requirements
Education: Advanced degree for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Experience: 1-2 years of experience is required ; 3-5 years of experience is preferred

Our office is looking for a “rock star” medical assistant in our surgical physician department. Our ideal candidate would have some clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics. This staff member will assist with patient care in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include scheduling/pre-certing tests, drawing up injections, answering medically related questions from incoming patients, coaches and other physicians. In addition, they will assist our surgeon with in-office procedures including ultrasound and fitting DME.

Principal Duties:

SportsMED is seeking multiple full-time Patient Access Representatives to join the front desk team at our Huntsville and Madison locations. These roles will have a variable schedule working Monday-Friday, roughly 8a-5p. We are looking to make immediate hires.

Qualified applicants will possess:
- a high school diploma or GED
- at least 2 years of medical practice experience in a clerical, patient-facing role
- a demonstrable understanding of health insurance
- experience reading patient accounts on an EMR and understanding how to determine patient financial responsibility
- experience collecting money from patients at time of service
Ideal applicants will possess all of the above, but 3+ years of experience in a medical office setting.

The Patient Scheduler will be responsible for the below at our main Huntsville office. This role does require you to be seated at your workstation, answering phone calls for 8 hours per day. There is a 1 hours lunch and two 10 minute breaks per day.

The Precertification Specialist reports to the Precertification Supervisor. Under

The Front Desk Manager is responsible for supervising a group of 14 team members who fulfill all front-end revenue cycle processes, check-in and check-out, patient financial counseling, and more.

The Front Desk Manager will oversee and manage the operations of the Front Desk Team. The main duties associated with this role include but are not limited to:
- Managing staff schedules
- Working with HR to handle disciplinary items
- Address patient complaints
- Run various billing reports
