SportsMED is seeking an experienced X-Ray Tech to fill a full-time or part-time need in our new Urgent Care. This is an autonomous role where the selected candidate will be the only tech in the Urgent Care during the scheduled hours.
Job Description
- The Radiology Technician performs radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to assist providers in the diagnosis of injuries and disease
- Greet each patient, verify identity at each encounter, explain procedures to be performed, and address patient questions and concerns in a kind and caring manner
- Prepare and position the patient for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff
- Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with approved radiology techniques and all company policies and procedures

Our office is looking for a “rock star” medical assistant in our surgical physician department. Our ideal candidate would have some clinical experience, preferably in orthopedics. This staff member will assist with patient care in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include scheduling/pre-certing tests, drawing up injections, answering medically related questions from incoming patients, coaches and other physicians. In addition, they will assist our surgeon with in-office procedures including ultrasound and fitting DME.

Principal Duties:
- Assist physician with patient care.
- Assisting patients suffering from physical disabilities.
- Suggesting and demonstrating proper body postures and muscle movements in corporate settings to prevent disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
- Ensure day-to-day clinical operations are performed in a professional and expedient manner.
- Scheduling/Precerting tests
- Drawing up injections
- Marking superbills correctly for services received.
- Answering medically related questions from incoming patient calls, coaches, other physicians.
- Strong leadership ability with a significant emphasis on interpersonal skills with prospective patients and with co-workers.
- Schedule and answers questions regarding patient appointments.
- Help prepare clinic charts
- Actively participate in efforts to improve total office performance.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Adheres to policies and procedures.
- Any function deemed necessary and appropriate by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Experience: At least 2 years of CMA experience is required. Experience in an Orthopedic practice a plus.
Certifications/Licenses: Active CMA Certification, or willingness to obtain certification within first 90 days of employment
Skills and abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills. Problem solving and multi-tasking.
