About Dr. Moore

Jack W. Moore, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon providing high-quality care at SportsMED Orthopedic Surgery & Spine Center. He currently treats patients at the Athens and Madison, Alabama, locations, specializing in sports medicine, joint replacement, diagnosing and treating knee and shoulder injuries, and arthroscopy.

Dr. Moore graduated with honors from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, where he was also recognized for his involvement in university sports activities, before earning his doctorate at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1993. He went on to complete an internship and residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and an AO Trauma sports medicine fellowship with the world’s largest specialist community dedicated to improving musculoskeletal trauma patient care.

Committed to staying up to date with the latest advancements in orthopedic treatments, Dr. Moore is a member of numerous medical and orthopedic professional organizations. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
