Founded in 1995 by Dr. Eric Janssen and Dr. Troy Layton in Huntsville, AL, SportsMED was established with the vision of providing the community with access to top-tier care in a setting dedicated to orthopedic excellence.
Over the past 29 years, SportsMED has grown into one of Alabama’s largest, most diverse, and innovative centers for orthopedic and spine care. With four clinic locations and a team of 26 specialty-trained orthopedic and spine physicians, SportsMED offers comprehensive services that include its own imaging centers, physical therapy and occupational therapy facilities, and an Urgent Ortho Clinic.
This expansion of services and expertise has allowed SportsMED to provide patients with all the care they need under one roof.
